Question for ones who were at the ND game last year and....

Oct 3, 2016, 7:52 AM

who also attended Saturday against Louisville

I was at the ND game and that was by far the loudest I have ever heard it (Been going since '86)

Unfortunately I couldn't make it Saturday but from what I hear it was even louder.

Now Death Valley is known for being loud but which do you think was louder?

Is there an official decibel meter and if so where can I find the reading? (other than the video board on The Hill)

Great game none the less. Very proud of the Tigers!!! Keep it up and let's book our spot in Tampa

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament.

Agree, louder for Louisville game***

There was no rain...

on louisville's side of the field to muffle the noise so it was definitely louder than against ND! ;)

My ears are still ringing

Had the honor to attend both...I live in PA...each game was special in its own right, but the crowd noise on Saturday night, especially at the beginning and end was unbelievable. loud and proud.

I was at both games and it's hard to judge since they were a year apart. I think this one seemed louder because there was so many ups and downs in the game. I believe the peak reading on the decibel meter was actually higher at the ND game but the average overall was probably higher for Louisville.

This one seemed much louder. Saw 111-112 on the meter.

Consistently between 105-108. Not sure how accurate it is, and it wasn't visible on every play. I think it might have gotten to 115 several times.

The overall excitement and noise was best since 2003 FSU for me. I wasn't there for Miami.

I was in the same seat at both games.... TDF, Row A, Seat 2 - about the 45 yad line, first row, upper deck. The ND game was loud, but the sound may have been somewhat muffled by the weather. The first few minutes of the Louisville game seemed much louder - to the point of being almost painful to the ears. The person sitting to my left said he saw 115db on the scoreboard meter late in the game. I only saw 111, but I didn't spend much time watching the meter.... :)

I thought it was louder than ND and Miami

and the most consistently loud game I have been to.

I find it difficult to compare that ND game to any other game. I had my rain jacket hood up the whole game and it seemed like the rain deadened the noise a little. That said, it was still loud through all that.

I will say, my ears were still ringing hours after this UL game as I was trying to fall asleep early Sunday morning, and that's only happened to me on a handful of occasions before. I remember similar experiences after BC 2007, and UGA 2013 specifically.
The 4th down sack near the end of the game in 2011 vs FSU is still engrained in my head as one of the loudest single moments I've ever heard. I was in the student section for those FSU and UGA games, and it always sounds louder there.

So many great games in just the last few years! It's a great time to be a Clemson fan.

I thought that at times the ND game was louder. But the game Saturday was more consistently loud, to me, if that makes any sense.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Agree...and his game benefitted from larger crowd

Oct 3, 2016, 9:37 PM

But boy was it satisfying to sit there in the rain last year!

I was at the ND game and have been to many games.
The first half was the loudest I ever have heard DV.
So if Louisville was louder it was deafening
