Question for my fellow Libs.

So it looks like it will be Warren or Biden vs Trump. Which one do you prefer? Also, do you feel comfortable with both as president even if the opposition were not Trump.

Forgot to add my answer. I like Warren's intelligence and energy over Biden's, but I dont think her plans are financially realistic. Biden is more moderate, but he seems like senility is coming on. I am not sure which candidate is better for the country.

Warren. America needs a Nice Mom President to offset the last few years of Bad Grandpa. Her plans will likely be dialed back a bit for the general election, and even still, those plans in the current form will never pass through Congress. At least her head is in the right place when it comes to healthcare. We should be extending coverage, not actively taking it away like the current administration.

Campaign platforms are a wish list.

Sorta like when a president releases their budget for the fiscal year. It doesn't have teeth, but it's what they would do if they were entirely unfettered. It's more about signaling a disposition than it is a promise of what will happen.
Between Biden and Warren, Warren seems like the obvious choice. Biden's campaign comes across like an obligation. At his best he's gaffe prone and at his worst he's incoherent. Warren is younger, sharper, and more poised.

how is there no viable candidate from either side

In say their 40’s or even 50’s
Seems to me like someone younger and more energetic and relatable would be better than a “you kids stay off my lawn” candidate

There are...people aren't voting for them.

Think about the 2016 Republican primary. The "viable" candidates were there. They lost. The people wanted Mr. Trump.

I wanted to both directly answer the question and emphasize how much I hate Joe Biden.

Depends on if my vote mattered. I voted third party last election, but was registered in SC so obviously a Republican State. Now that I'm registered in VA, I'd lean towards voting for Biden over Trump.

If I still lived in California I wouldnt even vote. I live in Fla now and it kind of matters. I will vote anyone but Trump here.

So what happens with your vote in the general election if Biden is the candidate, but you don't end up liking him either?

Warren, the gist of her campaign is to get the money and corruption out of Washington. A handful of Billionaires can get you to do their bidding or they'll pour millions into your primary challengers campaign. Representative govt. pales in comparison to that kind of power.

So you want someone to drain the swamp? Preferably someone who can get elected without big donors that they will be indebted to once in office? That sounds pretty awesome.
