Question for Hokie lurkers: wondering about espn Gameday details

Will be in Blacksburg and was thinking of checking out gameday and then some of the campus. Is there a site that has details and suggestions? Anyone know where they will set up? Parking? Proximity to campus/other places of interest?

Looking forward to the trip. First time going to Blacksburg.

Not a Hokie but I've been there a couple times. My daughter is a student there. Great place to visit.

My understanding from former students is that gameday set up in a green space near Torgerson hall last time. Building 174 on map at end of Drillfield. When I go, I park on Prices Fork Rd at Luther Lutheran church. It's $10 instead of paying General Admission across the street for $20 and it's easy to get out of after the game. I don't know if the church parking will be open that early though. Football parking map is here: http://www.hokietickets.com/parking.html

Downtown Blacksburg is great, lots of bars/restaurants on Main St.

about parking during gameday. We don't plan to stay on campus the entire day...I guess we could park in our spot, leave and come back closer to game time.

Should be a fun trip.
