Question about the PEE penalty for Ole Pissss.

Looking back at our uofsuc game 2018 and Wilkins did the Heisman pose, it caused the same unsportmanlike penalty. That penalty was enforced on the ensuing kickoff for CLEMSON, but was enforced on the PAT for Ole Pissss. Why was those penalties different? Did one of the officials get it wrong? I expected it to be enforced on the kickoff, but Miss did not seem to challenge that. So which way is correct?

I wondered the same thing. I thought I understood the announcers to say that it was optional to take it on the kickoff or on the extra point.

I missed that it might be optional. With only 4 seconds remaining, no way would I have done what the Miss coaches chose.

The non penalized team has the option of having it enforced on the PAT or the KO.

Well, that would be the only thing that makes sense to me. So MSU had the choice, and not the Miss coaches? Awesome. Miss deserved to lose for the stupid act. He can live his entire life knowing he cost his TEAM the game, even after their amazing drive to actually score a TD. That drive was awesome to watch, and Miss had momentum doing that. That dude squashed everything the rest of team worked so hard to accomplish.

The offended team has the option.
Fouls During Or After A Touchdown, Field Goal or Try:
ARTICLE 5. a. c. When a foul(s) occurs after a touchdown and before the ball is ready for
play on the try or there was a live-ball foul treated as a dead-ball foul on the
touchdown play, enforcement is on the try or the succeeding kickoff, at the
option of the offended team. If there is no kickoff, the accepted penalty is
enforced on the try (A.R. 3-2-3-V).

For a game with 12 minutes of actual action, there sure are a lot of rules.
If you’ve got hands and on the offense, how can you be an ineligible receiver?

More importantly, it never ceases to amaze me how many players don't know the simple rules of the games. Not sure that the fans cause the games to be won/lost due to lack of knowing the rules.
