Question about Hurts at 'Bama?

Kept hearing the announcers say he played Deshaun in practice for 'Bama in the first Title game. But he enrolled in January prior to title game, that isn't allowed or am I mistaken?

As mentioned already, yes you can join the team for practice only. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though they must abide by the acclimation period meaning they don't jump into pads and start hitting each other.

This is where I would like to see more bowl games played prior to Xmas. The crappy bowls starting a week after Championship games. All mid tier games before Xmas, the bigger bowls (Cotton, Gator, Rose, etc.) on New Years Eve. The two game playoff on New Years Day and then the Natty 10-14 days later on a Friday or Saturday (2nd Saturday in January). A Monday night college game is a pain to plan for.
