Question about 2 dollar bills?

Jan 9, 2017, 8:20 AM

It sounds like they have become a pain, because they aren't accepted everywhere. Why don't people just start stamping tiger paws on other currency instead? Why does it have to be 2 dollar bills? There probably is a god reason, but I am just wondering what it is. Thanks

That's great! There was a post that they were denied.

Sounds like a non issue though. Thanks for the insight.

This has been my observation:

If you throw in a $2 bill (w/Tiger Paws) in with the rest of your more traditional cash payment, it's a novelty and the folks are intrigued and they enjoy it.

But, if you try to pay an entire $200 restaurant tab with a hundred $2 bills, you create a hassle and you #### people off.

Judgement is key.

Yes. I usually pay tips and buy small items with $2 bills.

Everywhere I spent mine in Tampa they were gladly taken.

i use mine mostly for tips. Gave one to an Alabama fan,

Gave some to young Clemson fans. Nobody who receives tips are gonna refuse the tip. The original point of using the $2 bill is to show economic impact of Clemson fans. When they get back to the banks, accountants, etc that's exactly who we want to see them.

You have to use Common Sense , Don't try to pay a 700 dollar hotel bill with 2 dollar bills .

If you buy gas and its 50 bucks use 2 twentys and 5 paws ,. ETC , If your bar tab is 300 don't
pay it all in paws .

It was meant to spend a Few all over the area so they knew CLEMSON was there . Use your Brain .

Most people leave them for tips . We don't have to prove CLEMSON to no bowl committee on how well
we travel . The paw bills did their job .
