Was that the one that was delayed a few times? I remember a game from around then - the gf and I drove up and joined her family, watched the game and after an hour or so of delays, we left and drove back to Charleston. The game started back by the time I got to Columbia or so and was still on by the time I got to Charleston - I was able to watch the end from my couch. The only game I'll probably ever see in my lifetime where I was in the stadium for the first half and saw the end from my house in Charleston.

TCU was in the top 15 and had Andy Dalton as their QB

It was a very good game that they won off of a touchdown after the pass was tipped at the line of scrimmage.

True. We knew they were good, but it was the very beginning of their climb on the national scene. Andy Dalton was a freshman. Killed us all day with the QB keeper.

Agree. Terrible conditions for this game. As I remember, we had a long delay for lightning that allowed TCU to catch their breath and over take the Tigers late. We had them dragging until that delay. It costs us a big game. DV is made for day games! We may regret allowing the ND game to be a late nighter!

2002! It rained EVERY home game that season. Can't remember which one was the worst, but it had two lightning delays. We just sat and waited on the game to start up again. Lousy/messy year for tailgating!

went into basic training that summer, was out in time to go to the game. A friend and I who went regularly together, talked a friend who had never been to any college game, into going with us and found him a ticket there. He nearly froze to death, I'm pretty sure he never went to another game after that.

If my memory serves me correctly the GT game had the most intense rain (sideways rain) but the TCU game had more rain as a whole.

Then the 2000 SCAR game. Dantzler to Gardner with 10 seconds left. Hunt hits the FG field for the win!!! Coots said **** would have to freeze over before CU would win. As the ball went through the uprights swear to God it started to pour down sleet!!! Bonus points - who was the holder for Hunt?
