I’m not sure how to interpret that.

Nah, I knew there was one. But I didn't watch any of it, for obvious reasons.

Only two have a chance and they are Biden and Warren. Does it really matter what the others think? Anyway, I think Mayor Pete did the best job.

effect the Democrat nomination process, either by steering the discussion on certain topics, holding other candidates accountable or...sorry to say...with a witty jab at one of the front runners.
That’s my theory, anyway.
I mean, if you’re exhausted by it, believe me, I get it. I’m sure a lot of Dems are ready to “get on with it” with Biden and Warren. It was just a question.

I agree with all of that. I guess we should appreciate every day we have, but I am ready for Trump vs the Dem candidate.

If all the libs wanted Mayor Pete, it wouldnt matter what the DNC wanted. Pete would be the candidate. Obviously it's easier with support, but in the end we decide.

could be a LOT worse that whatever one would call Trump's brand of populism.
A big pet peeve of mine is the use of "income inequality" interchangeably with wealth. It's an indication of a society where living within one's means, saving, being wise with money, etc...is a foreign concept to so many people.
Many studies show that 80% of millionaires are first generation millionaires. I can't find it quickly now, but I believe I've read studies showing ~60% of billionaires are first generation.

obvious to me. With all their grand ideas of taxing billionaires and corporations, the seem to forget that those people control the systems. You want to see trickle down economics work? Take the hell out of the rich and see just how quickly they recover the money by raising prices on the poor or beating down wages.
The lower down on the economic scale, the more you are being colluded against.

No American flag anywhere on stage, again. Nonstop harping on the same old social agenda. Joe Biden is malfunctioning badly. Tulsi is the only one with any substance. The rest keep talking about what sounds good rather than what works. All of them are economically illiterate. In general, a very weak, desperate collection of disconnected political puppets.

But it's sort of expected to have an American Flag somewhere on stage with 12 people who are aiming to be President.
Not important in the grand scheme of things, but an obvious omission.

Networks. Last time, the polls were so in favor of Clinton that some Clinton voters let themselves be lazy. I believe those numbers were true, just had poor sampling. This time I think they will report closer than expected, no matter the truth, to mobilize folks.

if the Dems don't nominate someone who excites ALL parts of their base (i.e., Black voters), they have NO chance no matter what the MSM does to manipulate voters. That's the ONLY reason Biden was ever seen as having a chance and the only reason he has linked himself so closely to BHO. And this is the consequence of their running on identity politics.
From what I have read, the MN gal and the gay dude tried to distinguish themselves as relative moderates last night. A true moderate might have a chance. It would also take someone with the guts to call out the Dems on their identity politics BS. That could get both red and blue folks excited. I don't think that person exists in this crowd of candidates. But regardless, White voters most likely aren't going to take a chance on BHO part II, no matter what.

True but the problem is the whole base is really special interest for the most part and that is why it will be difficult to find a candidate to motivate a large block. Also, I think African Americans are beginning to wake up. I think 2020 will show more Blacks and Hispanics fleeing the Dems.
DNC special interest groups - Abortionists (reproductive rights -what a joke) LGBTQIAZYX...... Gun control Open borders Free Healthcare Green New Deal Anti First Amendment Reparations Free College-Loan forgiveness Feminists Socialists Wealth tax
The cost of this agenda is absurd and would finish America as a nation. Also, there is not a candidate who will make them all excited and motivated to vote
I'll stick with - The Constitution Capitalism Freedom of choice Personal responsibility Sensible immigration

Liz still won't admit she's going to raise middle class' taxes. Everyone is still trying to out socialism the others. Joe claims he did nothing wrong and promised not to do it again when he's POTUS.
I would say nothing burger but it's more like socialist soup with everyone contributing.
