I SERIOUSLY LOVED THE FIGHT. I honestly think it stemmed from some sort of issue, and I in all truth love the fact it was handled appropriately on all levels. It f*****g football. I love it.

I completely understand.
You can hurt running laps too. I know, poor comparison, but I hope you get the point.
Not trying to be a jerk, I am 1000% tiger, but have you ever played? This stuff happens in many different ways. At least they had gloves and some sort of controls, albiet other players/leaders.
I get it, and again, I am glad some grievances are being corrected. Overall, the coaches and players got this. Fully. They will come out better for it.
And again, the Jackets should/will pay dearly.

Rumor has it... After the game, emotions ran high and some players were making comments about a few players being a (...string of expletives...) Prima Donas and blowing their assignments. Angry players on both sides of the ball but fingers were pointed mostly at a couple players on the O-line.
There was also some "venting" regarding penalties.
As for the gloves..... Supposedly when frustration is high, the gloves are put on and the "debate" begins
And when they are done the gloves come off and they shake hands and the subject is dropped never to be an issue again. How much of that is true? Who knows. Some of the "Debates can get pretty intense."
Question about the coaches were Avoided!
Now I know I am new, and before you start accusing me of being a coot and how much my opinion or what I say does not matter because I have a low pulse %: Let me assure you that unless your opinion of me pays my bills, I don't care.

When I played football MANY moons ago. There were 2 sets of boxing gloves on the coaches desk. They come out when guys fotbintobit and things start to escalate. The reason being you don't want an issue this week to effect next week. Also of 2 guys are willing to put the gloves on they are willing to go at it with them off. So the coaches let them get it over with in the safest way they can. Someone could get hurt that's true. But they could get hurt later that might when they fight without gloves or go to jail or whatever. So the coaches try to keep it in a controlled environment. Like it or not that's team stuff not coot stuff. Also it is supposed to stay in the locker room. Period. We didn't even talk about who put gloves on against who. Or who won or lost. When it was over it was OVER.

Dabo put boxing gloves on secondary to help them learn how to breakup a pass without interfering with the receivers.
The boys got back to the locker room and thought, 'Hey, we both have boxing gloves on, we should go a couple rounds.'
It's not a big deal. The only two guys in high school I knew who didn't box were raised by their mothers in a flower shop. Johnathan and Ray were cousins, their mothers were sisters. The boys must have been gentle men for they never bothered the girls.
