Honestly, I wouldn't mind hearing Roy call the games, but probably wouldn't happen due to ESPN contracts- unless, He became the sole man for play by play, with his radio job and gave up the 4 letter network. I like Ol' Roy, He's a homer, with a lot of good perspective, funny, and does great interviews. Not to mention, He is very skilled in broadcasting and play by play.

Don is fine, if you want upgrade something start with WCCP. The midday shows are fine but the morning drive and road rage leave a lot to be desired. Glad we have ESPN Upstate as an option now.

P.S. As an afterthought, Munson DID do a good job yesterday and he is obviously a caring and compassionate man. He also has improved in the radio booth. Still....
I just pine to the days of the great gravelly Southern voice behind the broadcast, with a self-deprecating wit born of humble beginnings and turn of the phrase that rivaled Mark Twain.

Thought Don did a good job today. He has done a solid job in the radio booth as well. He may be a bit hokey at times but aren't we all?

I've been listening to him for the past two years, even with watching also. Sometimes his player interviews are filled with a lot of " Um's" but I think He did a better job this year than last year in the booth. He called the National Championship game pretty well I thought. There's good and bad. Overall I have no problem with Him.

Yep and while he was not fired he was forced to change the S & C program approach completely hiring new assistances. And we went from a team that our completion called weak ( after the BAMA embarrassment in Atlanta) , and those who said you just have to hit them in mouth and they will back down ( Ralph Friedgen at lowly Maryland ), to WVU saying our linemen were asking them to take it easy at the end of the game. It was a known fact that we were not a physical team and we were weak at that time.
So yes a lot of us wanted him fired and in the end what we wanted and got was a good S & C program. We who wanted him fired stopped complaining, not because we were proven wrong, but because he changed and got it straighten out.
Not a bad thing to also want a professional presentation of Clemson Football.

"Dandy Don" first and foremost needs to learn how to properly pronounce "carolina" his home state! He sounds like a bubba redneck without meaning to when he leaves the letter "o" out of his pronunciation. Personally I loved Jim Philips and liked Pete Yanity.

I couldn't stand listening to him on the radio. He was way too loud and seemed clueless at times. But over the years, I have grown to like Don alot and I think he's getting better every year. You can really tell he loves Clemson does have some classic lines. For example, when Mike Williams carried the coot defender into the end zone he said "Mike Williams just have that chicken a ride" lol i love it
