Prayer request for my mom and dad. My mom has always been such a GREAT

Person to everyone. She would give you the shirt off of her back. She and my dad gave me a loving Christian family life. I consider myself so blessed to have such a loving mom and dad. My mom and dad taught me to treat those less fortunate with kindness and love. They instilled great discipline in me, respect for others and core Christian Values for which I am so grateful.
Now my mom suffers from a horrible illness Parkinson’s which has taken a physical and mental toll on my mom and a physical toll on my dad. My sister, her husband and their daughter have taken great care of them for which I can never say thank you enough for all they have done. Unfortunately, I live a little over an hour away and it’s difficult for me to pitch in and help as much as I would like
It is so hard to see one or both of my parents health decline. My heart and prayers go out to those who have endured this or are currently dealing with a similar situation. Because the people on Tigernet make you feel like family, I felt that I could share this with you and ask that you please pray for my family. Especially my mom and dad. I have learned so much about love and commitment in marriage by watching how the roles have reversed and my dad really looks out for my mom now.

Terrible disease. My neighbor has it and in one year she has gone
down very fast. She is probably older than your mom (88) but it takes
a toll on getting it in older years. I will pray for your Mom and your Dad

My Mom has dementia and my Dad passed away a year and a half ago. I take care of my mom a lot with the help of my siblings. It is tough on us all. I pray for your Mom and Dad and all your family that God will give yall the strength and everything yall need during this trying time. GOD BLESS

I watched my father wither away to nothing in a 2 year span battling dementia and then for the last 5 months suffering after a major stroke.
Now my mom although still healthy is really not the same after his passing.
It’s tough watching people you love suffer.
All we can do is pray and just cherish the time we have left with them.

I lost my father seventeen years ago to heart failure and my siblings and I just moved our mother into a facility. She is miserable because she cannot understand the entire picture. My sister has stage four cancer and continues as primary caregiver. We older posters can prepare our parents for the aging process only so much as we ourselves acknowledge we too are not as young as we were.
It is heartbreaking, but our collective prayers go forth and hopefully matters will ease a bit. I feel your hurt and know your uncertainty.
Look to the Lord for strength in your time of need.
