night is that I took my 8th grade son to his first trip to the roach motel and he got to see up close and personal what "life as a shamecock" looks and smells like. It started with several fistfights during pregame tailgating over behind Bojangles complete with 3 Gamecocks on 1 Clemson fan in one fight and 2 sucker punches in the other 2. Then we went with some friends over to a field called "Memorial" and it was literally like Mardi Gras and actually would have been fun if not for the "classy coeds" that cursed him, told him that Clemson Sux, that he sucked, that his dad sucked, flipped him off, grown college guys "accidentally" bumping into him REPEATEDLY and then staring him down and taunting him when he looked their way, threw beer on him and tried to start a fight with me. Then we went into the game and there was a #### fan sitting behind us who was so drunk that he was puking all over himself, our seats and those around us and was finally escorted out of the stadium. Then at halftime and I SWEAR this is true, we went to the mens room and there was a #### couple in the bathroom stall trying to make a little baby ####!! We could all see 4 feet under the stall so a guy used his cell phone to record the event over the stall door and the Police had to come in and stop their #### love (hahaha, yes, pun intended!) and wait for them to get dressed to be arrested when they exited the stall. This happened in the South Upper mens room , section 902. Then as we were leaving the game we were again taunted and jeered, cursed and flipped off by kids, coeds, adults and even grabdparents... Needless to say my son recommitted on his desire to go to Clemson and play football for the Tigers in a few years. He is not real interested in booze, or the trashy #### coeds he met. Even though we lost the game (WHICH SUCKED, AGAIN), it was an invaluable life lesson for him and he clearly sees why it is so easy to have disdain for them. I told him he got a masters degree in white trash 101 and he agreed.

Don't doubt a word you typed. My last trip to that cess pool was in 2007 as a guest of my now ex girlfriend and her snooty ### chicken family. Said after escaping with that win I would never set foot back in that #### hole, but the class argument does nothing to dull the pain and embarrassment of 5 in a row.

I can't go back into that cesspool of humanity in Columbia again...at least until the Tiger understand that this is a game that must be treated not with competitive spirit, but with disdain, disgust, anger, pity, and no mercy.
I'll find out the score of next year's coot game from a cruise ship in the Caribbean. I'm not going to ruin my Thanksgiving again awaiting another beatdown from the chickens.

Great post. Had clempson won we wouldn't see any post like this. That is a sad fanbase. A pct. Of your fans act like complete ######. Last year we experienced it at clempson. ##### suck, f you. You keep telling yourself that buddy. I am not talking about taunting fans or throwing stuff at players. I am talking about low quality people. There is no way the people I saw went to South Carolina or even knew someone from the school. I'm shocked that these people had a job to pay for the ticket they used to get in. Just shocked. I know we have some of those fans too but it was incredible. I would be very frustrated if those people represented my school! Which is why I am glad they don't!

My son graduated from USC and we believe it is a good school for the education, but there is no way we can pull for the football team because we have no personal respect for the coach and the fans are horrible.

I am a Carolina alum and I apologize on behalf of the Gamecock Nation that you and your son had such a horrifying experience. There is never an excuse for behavior like that and there is no place for it in any college venue. Unfortunately, it is not just limited to Willy B. I've had my car vandalized while visiting Clemson during our games there as well as enduring harassment from Tiger fans, having things thrown at us, crude comments, the "accidental" bumps from ppl in the crowd,etc. It happens everywhere..we all have some of "those" fans that make it hard on the rest of us who really do want to rep our Universities with class. Don't judge us all by the bad apples.

Sounds like you got to see the good side of scar! I went to their game with UF, minded my own business, and it was a matter of time before this Carolina alum said he wished a terrorist would've blown up our buses on the way to the hill when it showed us vs uga and fsu. This guy was a dentist...and he's on the classy side.
When you let that many students in to your university you get some bottom feeders that want to be slugs and enjoy that cess pool. They also get the USC Sumter, Lancaster, satellite schools, etc, as well as Benedict. It's a real live shlt show. I live in Columbia and attended clemson and later got masters at scar(couldn't get in cu masters program).
I promise you don't want to live here 1. If you're a decent human being 2. If you're any other fan other than scar.

Nice picture of the "Clemson fans" you say were going at it, except for the fact that your proof is a pic of the cop and a dude in line, not the people in the stall you toothless fool. Sounds exactly like my 2011 visit to the Cockroach! The only difference was the couple was in the bathroom in the parking lot at the fairgrounds. We also got to see the coot women squatting up against said bathroom exterior wall to relieve themselves because the lint was apparently too long to retain any sense of dignity.

It happens everywhere. Fans make dumb choices. (Usually alcohol is involved)It happens in Clemson too. When my son was in 9th grade we were at Doug Kingsmore Stadium when a drunk Clemson student dumped a drink all over a fan from Coastal Carolina. The CC fan thought we did it and was ready to fight everyone in sight. Are the number of incidents less frequent in Clemson, yes. (But)It does still happen.

extent happen pretty much anywhere when people are partying it up & tailgating for games.
the difference is the amount of it a frequency & severity of said fan infractions...& from my life's experience it's not nearly as bad or often at Clemson.
just don't go to any other house or here as a visitor & be a prick & then it'll usually be ok & enjoyable.
not in Columbia. your numbers are far higher than ours, mostly because most people at Clemson games are alumni & families & we look down on those behaviors.
anyone that's been here can't deny the scene is much different, excluding typical "bad apples".

The USC fans at the game last night seemed really...simple or extremely urban. Two easily definable groups.

sounds about like a slightly worse example of our experience, & I still can't believe these coots want to deny it's actually like it there! hahaha

While I have seen some bad fans at Clemson saw a kid kick a car after a game tech loss once and several other incidents it is the minority by a long shot. I say in all honesty if you act with dignity you will be treated great at Clemson. While I know some great carolina fans go to church with them I must say every trip to that horrible jv middle school stadium in the armpit of the state has been a bad experience.

My wife and daughter were sitting in the USC faculty section. In addition to our Clemson season tickets, we bought SC season tickets from the spouse of a deceased SC professor, primarily for the Clemson tickets. Since it was not as cold as advertised, the ladies put their coats under their seats. Sometime during the game, two very intoxicated Carolina fans a few rows behind them decided to throw up all the alcohol they had consumed. The very liquid puke flowed down hill onto their coats. You could smell the bile when they returned to the car. Also, the paramedics were called to their section twice, once for a heart attack and another for a bad fall. A minority of Carolina fans have no class whatsoever. I have never seen behavior like this at Clemson.

If you go to any football game and tailgate with eyes open the entire time only for stuff that you can come home and post on Tigernet then you will most likey find a few things
