Points of interest in Charlottesville?

Oct 27, 2013, 10:27 PM

Alright Tiger fans, who has been up to Charlottesville before? Recommendations on what to do before and after the game? Recommendations on travel and where to park? Anything else to keep in mind up in Hooville?

My little sister is a UVA grad. Great town. Definitely visit Monticello. Depending on how much time you have, you can take a day trip into the mountains or DC. The walking mall downtown is where you'll find most of the restaurants and bars.

If you're driving, don't speed in VA.

fellow architecture alum, his friend thought it would be interesting after the game to go watch the architecture students work in their studio. Thankfully my father said #### no and we got in our car and headed back to Baltimore. So if you're into watching architecture students work maybe UVA is the place!! LMAO

live in 200+ year old dorms with only sinks in rooms. Ralph Sampson roomed here among thousands of other gifted students.

Also, near this area and towards stadium are old homes used by Deans which have beautiful gardens.

Then, updown is pretty neat since small, walkable and have some great Orange clothing items..like Orange corderoys or kaki's.

And YES, Monticello is my fav since just about 15+ miles away and grounds/home are unequaled.

GoTiGERS..and good luck TiGER!
