Mickey, I'm not sure where you "keep hearing about our defense", since it is clear that this is the worst defensive product by far that Brownell has put on the floor. Our big men are foul machines. We don't have to worry about that in the backcourt however, because we can't stay close enough to anyone to commit a foul. I knew we would miss Rod Hall on defense this year, but I had no idea it would be this bad.

This is a bad, bad team, and I'd put the over/under on ACC wins at 2.

Not just Brownell, but I have followed Clemson Basketball since my freshman year in 1962. In 53 years no one has ever been able to recuit successfully to Clemson. Sure we have had a good freshman group here and there but no consistency. I don't know why unless the Athletic Department doesn't care. I have heard in the past that basketball was just there to fill the gap between football and baseball. I really don't know who could turn this around. I can't imagine a top coach wanting to come to Clemson and I hate it. We need to find a Dabo clone who coaches basketball.
