But I met Todd Ellis in the past and thought he was an okay guy. Met him again recently and spent some time with him. He's actually a Very nice and cordial person. Even after he found out I was a CU grad and former athlete, he asked about my family, told me about his, and took a genuine interest in me, my wife and and a friend that was with us. I still can't stand listening to him on the radio, and he's a real garnet homer, but in person, the guy seems to be a class act. I write this only because I had disdain for the guy for many years and somehow drew the conclusion he was a ######. He wasn't to me. Who knew!?

That's all well and good but he started an irreversible sh*tstorm with his comment on the radio after the Clemson/USC game in 2011.
"As Coach Spurrier says, we ain't Alabama and we ain't LSU.....but we ain't Clemson folks"
Now if you listen to the clip, it's clear that he only attributed the 1st part of the sentence to Spurrier, then he personally took the shot at us.
But the official gamecock facebook and twitter feeds attributed the whole quote to Spurrier which Dabo then responded to in his famous rant.
I appreciate Dabo taking up for this university but to openly call out another team and then continue to lose to them is embarassing and unacceptable. We have to end the streak this year or his rant continues to be a laughingstock.

I mean the fact that he is quite possibly the most incompetent play-by-play man in the history of the profession, and his voice makes Fran Drescher sound like an angel from heaven.

to Todd's narration....and try to figure out if he's even watching the same game, or if he has scripted things he's required to say. IE Clowney being double teamed on EVERY play , or Where's the holding on that play ?
It is truly commical.
