Y'all 'member that 2016 game against Pitt? We were ranked third in the CFP. They beat us. Last second field goal after we had multiple maddening mistakes.

Remember how you felt? We didn't know how far we'd drop. We did know we didn't control our own destiny any longer. Our goal was the national championship, and it was severely in doubt. All the off-season waiting, all the optimism and anticipation and hope was knocked out of us with a steel boot to the gut. Remember the helplessness? Remember the sick feeling? Our best chance for greatness -- was it out the window? Would it have to wait another whole year? Or longer?

That is what a loss feels like.
