Which Clemson QB would you take if you were in a must win game:
1). Steve Fuller
2). Woody Dantzler
3). Charlie Whitehurst
4). Tajh Boyd

Although I don't think he had the throwing ability of Boyd or Whitehurst, he was a guy who you could count on to get a first down.

The game has changed a lot. I know everyone absolutely LOVES Tajh, but it would be nice to imagine Woody running Chad's offense. He would have the potential to be better than Tajh. But Woody played in a different system, and as such, Tajh right now is better than Woody was in his time.
Same for Charlie. He was great in his time, in that offense. But there's absolutely zero doubt Tajh fits Chad's system better than Charlie ever could.
So let's assume all these QB's were on the team today. Fuller would suck. Charlie would be bad. Tajh is great and Woody would also be great, and perhaps the greatest QB in our current offense.

Steve Fuller would have been able to run Chad's system better than Chad. The man could run, very accurate passer, and by far, by far, the most cerebral and intelligent QB to ever play for the Tigers.

Fuller could sell the fake handoff better than anyone on the list. Would make Chad's offense that much more effective.

was 1st option - run, 2nd option - run, and 3rd option - run. And we didn't need to do much else. Can you imagine if Fuller had been turned loose with receivers like Jerry Butler, Perry Tuttle, and Dwight Clark?
The problem with a poll like this is it suffers from "what have you done for me lately." Most people here weren't born yet when Fuller was playing.
All these guys had good season's/careers, but other than Whitehurst beating USuC 4 times, I wouldn't rate him at the top. Dantzler was a game changer, but he sometimes got happy feet and would pull it down and run when he had receivers wide open. Tajh is great, and he hasn't even finished yet. But he benefits from a wide open system and some of the best receivers we have ever had. Granted, our line for Tajh doesn't compare to the beasts Fuller had.

Two different types of QBs. I think our WRs would be catching a whole lot more passes from Fuller.

Oh yeah and tajh has 51 school records. He is all that. Plus personality plus. He is quite the leader, speaker, Christian and motivator. Just the best!
