Joking... But, man, he has become a really good NFL running back.

His passing ain't half bad either.

He faded badly the last half of the year that they gifted

him Deshaun's Heisman. We shall see if he does the same this year in the NFL. NFL defensive coordinators for the most part are a smart lot, "the next big thing" rarely sustains success. He is fun to watch, though.

There is two ways to look at that.

Look at what happened to Louisville without him last season.

Maybe he was the only thing that held them together as long as he did.

Petrino quickly put the team in the tank as soon as he didn't have his superstar anymore.

He leads the NFL in passing TD's and has the 2nd highest qb rating too.

Without looking it up, would you be able to tell us how to calculate qb rating?***

People aren't giving enough credit to the players around him

Nov 26, 2019, 9:26 AM

and the coaching staff that knows how to use his talent.

DW has the worst offensive line in the NFL.

The Texans D sucks too. They dont have a solid RB. They traded too many draft picks for the future. They have bad coaching. They are a few years away maybe from being a contender. I hope Deshaun can stay healthy.

It's all coaching.....Baltimore staff knows how to utilize him. I almost get the feeling Houston staff is reluctantly using Watson. Sad.

Screw Calford.

Baltimore should be the standard now on how to surround your talented but limited QB with play makers to properly utilize his strengths...

If you watch...Rarely will Jackson complete a pass over 15+ yards...Everything is short and quick...requiring him to get the ball out quick on several different routes and looks...

Them acquiring Ingram has been a complete god send for them...Both are now in the perfect system for them...Jackson is barely in the top 20 in the for passing but is up there in passing TDs and obviously rushing...Baltimore is definitely doing right by this kid...

It's too early to crown him MVP, but he's the frontrunner.

As a lifetime Steelers fan, I've passionately despised the Ravens since they came into existence. But John Harbaugh has always had my respect. Same for Ozzie Newsome.

Lamar was drafted into a great situation, tailor made for him to succeed. To his credit, he's made the most of the opportunity. That is all you can ask for.

I wish the Texans were worthy of DW4, but they are not. I'll be very happy when they are forced to pay him after the season. Too bad the organization can't see they have an incompetent coach who remains there solely because DW4 makes enough plays for him to keep his job.

Choosing between Watson & Jackson is a false dichotomy.

Nov 26, 2019, 11:05 AM

Both were great in college and are off to dang successful starts as NFL QBs.

Recognizing one’s fantastic performance does nothing to diminish the other’s.

Agree. It is hard to argue that Lamar is the real deal. Ya gotta give him props. Will he be the real deal in a year or two? Who knows, but he is now. Good for him.
