Parking help for Louisville

Sep 10, 2017, 6:41 PM

Anyone have any good parking suggestions for the UL game this weekend? Traveling up with the family and wondering if anyone found good lot, reasonable price, etc? Thanks for any help.

There will be plenty of parking available at Churchill Downs. It is a short walk to the stadium as well. Maybe 3 blocks. There will be many, many Clemson fans parked there. We parked there 2 years ago.

There are no pre-paid passes there. That is where most visiting fans park. The other suggestion is at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center aka The Fairgrounds. It's about the same distance to the stadium and it too is just pay parking. It's behind the Cracker Barrel Restaurant and Cardinal Hall of Fame Cafe on Crittenden Drive at Central.

True. The horse park is a good place, just remember where you parked

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Parking is all over the place like Derby-pay cash for lawns

Sep 10, 2017, 11:27 PM

Everyone just parks wherever. Just like Derby-people just charge like $20-$30 to park on their lawns. I went to concert and there is a big grass lot by a grocery store and the railroad track within 1 block of stadium-boy scouts ran the grass lot which is right next to horse trailer park area. They charged like $25. Other people just open up their lawns and fit as many cars on their lawn as they can.

Kentucky Derby next door may run shuttles over and stuff like that and is a hefty walk to stadium because you have to walk over a big bridge and cannot access their Iptay like parking so it. A good number of Clemson fans do it but to get closer you can try checking out lawns and those type of things that will make you feel like parking at the BiLo Center.
