Our safeties didn't look so bad ...

Guess pollack will need to find a new "weakness"

no injuries with our 3 star starters at safety and our 2 star/unranked backups have played well

Imo the safeties aren't nearly as bad as made out to be. That's a complicated defense Coach V runs and getting all of the calls in is tough at times. Muse gets a bad wrap but he's a hell of a ball player, he and Wallace have made huuuugee plays for Clemson I mean multiple game changing plays.

Their big play receivers don't have a lot of speed----our safeties were never once stretched by their so-called "skill" players and were easily able to rotate over the top.

Screw Calford.

They looked good last night. There were a couple of potential busts that Book could not see because of the pass rush.

Pollack is not any less right though. Safety play is the weakness of the Clemson D. Dline is historically great, Linebackers are really good, Two shut down corners. If you are looking for a weakness, you have to expose the Safeties and Simmons in coverage. They are in the wrong spot more often than the others but are extremely athletic. Sometimes you can beat them sometimes they beat you. But it is very difficult to run on Clemson or try to throw back shoulder or fade routes on Mullen or Terrell. Therefore, safety is the weak spot. Hopefully, they play well Monday Night and make Tua pay for trying to pick on them. Bama likes to throw to the middle of the field off play action. Wallace, Muse, Turner and Johnson should knownit is coming. Bama will also try to get their talented tight end in some mismatchs. We should be prepared for it.
