Thinking real hard about going to Chapel Hill this coming season to watch the Tigers play...hope it's a day time game so I would be able to drive up and drive back in the same day

You should do it. We used to be able to visit our ACC foes every other year. Now, for Chapel Hill, Charlottesville, etc. it’s going to be once every 12 years. Sort of nostalgic when these opportunities come along.

Yes wish we still played UNC every year.

The annual games would be much better if ACC had split into North/South geographical divisions.

I hate artificial turf. Back when the coots had it, they seemed to have way more knee injuries than they had on real grass. Have there been any studies on injuries on artificial turf versus real grass?

I agree. Remember Maryland?

They would be down to their 6th string QB due to turf-knee issues. I think that was their last year in the ACC.

And yes, there have been studies and the consensus is that there is a slight increase in injury, but not a major one. Slightly higher # of ankle/knees but a much higher # of impact injuries. Might be less for football.

Here is one but with Soccer: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5544152/

UNC will always be one of the doormats of CFB. All opposing players have say is "look! It's a classroom!" Will scare them to death for the rest of the game.

Fake class, fake grass. Par for the coarse.
