Our President just sided with a brutal dictator
Jul 16, 2018, 2:50 PM

a guy who literally has had people in foreign countries killed, has had reporters in his own country killed, was head of the KGB before becoming dictator for life in mother russia in a dispute between that guy and literally his very own intelligence agencies. A dispute about whether the Russians are actively trying to interfere with Democratic elections in this country.
I tend to stay out of this ######## lately, but I swear, some of y'all could have Trump #### directly in your mouth and call it chocolate.

We've already established that this is no big deal and Trump brought up valid points. Trump is great! So is Putin. Best team ever.
Hey, he's done EXACTLY what he's said he would. Y'all are just crying wolf!

numbed everyone to a lot of this stuff. Trump could nuke Switzerland, and it would probably take most Americans a few days to figure out whether or not it was a legitimate issue to be worried about or not. The sheer insanity from the left over the past two years has left a lot of us not knowing what to believe, one way or another.

because of all the birther crap and other fringe ########.
But this is the President equating the word of Vladimir Putin with the heads of our own intelligence agencies. And it's not spin, it's literally right there on video.

If Bathhouse Barry was born in the US , I'm Jesus Christ. Edited because some of you would claim I'm a Baptist named John.

Who doesn't understand that? Most people will tell you they

don't personally like the guy, they're just not consumed with hatred for him like many of y'all are. And I want you to think back over the past decade or so, recall how every Republican from George Bush to Mitt Romney was portrayed by democrats. Quite frankly, I think we'd be getting the same reaction from liberals/democrats no matter who won the presidency as long as they had an R by their name. Every action could mean the end of western society, every comment has a hint of racism, don't forget the xenophobia...Oh wait, facism!
It's been the same ole same ole accusations for almost 20 years now, no matter who the Republican politician is. Maybe the blind squirrel found a nut with Trump, but crying wolf for that long has it's consequences.

I remember those days. Mitt Romney didn't get anywhere close to the animosity Trump is getting.
Bush was very disliked, but mainly for very good reason over the Iraq war. But Bush's approval over time was better than Trump's.
In my lifetime, I never seen such hatred for a president from not just the left but from the middle as well. And from real conservatives. Whatever Trump supporters are is some kind of new breed. Maybe leftists are the most outspoken, but this man is despised.

I can't disagree with that. But it works both ways. Obama was skewered by the right at every turn.
The truth, in my view, is that as long as American's live in an "us vs them" world, the political careerists and corporations will continue to harvest us like beets. I've watched this act for years. It used to be the Red Scare. Then it was the Dominoe Effect. They keep the population perpetually up in arms over political and cultural differences. Meanwhile it's illegal for Medicare to negotiate drug prices and a new Air Force One costs as much as an aircraft carrier.
We have to find our way out of these quagmires and look at the big picture.

statement element that comes with it. It's likely that he's never received an actual salary in his life - no telling what being on the tax radar in that capacity could bring about.

No, I ragged on him for having lied about bone spurs and avoiding the draft. I used it as a somewhat subtle way of saying I wish he would have never became president. He is a mess. I know you support the imbecile, but lighten up. No, I don't wish he magically could go back in a time machine and get killed in Nam. I wish he weren't POTUS is the point.

It would be the same thing for me if Trump had gone and raged at Putin and made threats for his interference in the election after the heads of all 17 US intel agencies said there was NO evidence that Russia interfered.

is that hawkishness in any sense is generally treated as wrong by liberals. A good example would be the Obama administration's overtures to Iran and Cuba, among others (including Russia, initially). Go watch The Last Year documentary on HBO and listen to Ben Rhodes's comments about foreign policy. A lot of this newfound dislike for Russian foreign policy seems very opportunistic, even if it in now way justifies Trump's incoherence, incompetence, and opposite-day level treatment of our friends and rivals.

Given the “murderous dictator” narrative, can someone clarify why
Jul 17, 2018, 2:07 PM
|
|
Obama’s limp-wristed photo with Raul Castro is okay but this is not?
And to get ahead of it: 1) both of them, in my opinion, are embarrassments. And yes, Trump’s display, in my opinion, ranks higher on the embarrassment scale. But whereas I might give the Cuba thing a 83 and the Russia thing a 95 on the Embarrassment Scale, I’m curious about how people can think that the Russia thing was a 10,000 on the Embarrassment scale and the Cuba deal was actually a good day for America. 2) spare me the “but Obama”, BS. It’s just a crutch for people who don’t want to think. The question is valid, as would be many counter arguments.
And as always, I can still hear the echoes of mocking laughter at Mitt Romney when he said Russia was our biggest geopolitical foe. Man, Obama sure was smarter than that guy.

Of course, TheRump sided with Putin. TheRump still owes Putin part of the $40,000,000 he borrowed for his election campaign. (Yeah, there are many suckers that really did believe TheRump used his own money. Of course, he used $10M received during his telethon (supposedly) for the disabled vets, too.) What a con artist!
