Opponent's rushing defense rank

Texas A&M is 4th. We had 115 yards total.
GT is 54th, Syracuse is 88th, Wake is 121st.
Clearly we have put up some big numbers on some bad defenses. NC State is tied for 15th so we'll have a chance to prove Desmond wrong in a couple weeks but for now his comments were fair....

Agree that total defense and rush defense and all

are garbage because they don't take opponents or anything else into account. That said, S&P+ kind of agrees here, at least in rushing efficiency.
NC State is 14th in marginal efficiency against the run. This basically compares how successful a team is running the ball against (in this case) NC State compared to their season averages. On the other hand, NC State is 66th in marginal explosiveness (giving up big running plays).
The other interesting thing here is that State can't run the ball.. AT ALL. 110th in rushing efficiency and 120th in explosiveness. They are pretty good throwing the ball with Finley, as you would expect, but it's basically a dink and dunk passing offense. They don't generate big plays running or throwing.
They also don't take sacks as they are 2nd in the country in sack rate on offense. Expect a lot of short quick passes from Finley to neutralize our rush. Our LBs and DBs will need to make good open field tackles.

And Alabama you know the “physical” team rushed for 109 yards against A&M at 3.9 YPC we averaged 3.6 YPC. Alabama was at home and we were away. Looks like the results were pretty even given circumstances. So is Alabama now a finesse team? Or is the jury out until they play another great run defense?

Again, OP is the guy that suggested "we" cancel the game this weekend with the hurricane, and also posted that it's an embarrassment to let Renfrow play QB..
Take note!

You're so Coot . IHOP, why don't you wander off tonight and become a statistic ? Your Dirtpeckers will be one of the teams that couldn't stop our offense ... run game or otherwise . If you're just trying to smudge lipstick on Joey Galloway ... Twitter is that way >>>>>>

Went back and looked through his posts - he also is the same person that started the thread saying we should be embarrassed for celebrating with post-game donuts..

With TL now getting the experience and standing back there with even more confidence .. I hope teams crowd the LOS . Something tells me they won't like the result of making their DBs go man on our WRs . It's a real pickle going forward for the DCs that have to deal with us on so many levels .
