Yeah that was back when we alternated between one AFC and one NFC team each year. Made for a difficult schedule.

We basically lost a recruiting class through the Bowden fiasco. It would take a few years for Dabo to be able to compete with a team that was over signing and handing out illicit benefits. If we’re being honest like Spurrier was when he called Dabo after the game number five should’ve never happened. We had the superior group of athletes that year and it has shown in a big way ever since. Probation, Spurrier getting a bad reputation for SC on the recruiting trail and last but not least Clemson becoming an elite program has sealed SC’s fate in the rivalry for the time being.

Swinney let Morris call trick plays at the absolute worst time in the game and it would backfire on us. Also add in Boyd making a head scratching mistake or two in red zone. Usually those things alone would kill all momentum for the Tigers.
