Oct 27, 2012, 5:02 PM

a fractured bone isnt as bad as a blown knee

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm not an MD, but I saw the picture and it didn't look like

Oct 27, 2012, 5:02 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Oct 27, 2012, 5:05 PM

a compound fracture the bone comes out of the skin.link to a compound fracture.note not for those with a soft stomach.

No, that mess was in the joint. It may include a fracture,

Oct 27, 2012, 5:06 PM [ in reply to I'm not an MD, but I saw the picture and it didn't look like ]

but it looked like a complete knee dislocation.

I would guess you're right about that. The picture sure looked like the knee was messed up.

That can be good or bad. Good if it heals quickly, but a bone break could be bad, also.

I broke a tibia many years ago and it took over 3 years for it to heal solid enough for the doctor to allow me to even run. I still have a small limp today and can't run worth a dang because the leg that broke is now shorter than the other one.

Thoughts and prayers the he has a better and faster recovery than that.

That is a good thing! much rather have the break...

Oct 27, 2012, 5:04 PM

I hope he still gets a chance to make it big. Such a great kid. I'm pulling for him.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It would end the season, not the career...

Oct 27, 2012, 5:06 PM

Honestly, when I saw it, I feared that was the case.

Re: On Lattimore hearing...I guess that is as good a news

Oct 27, 2012, 5:07 PM

as it could be given how it looked. Hope he can come back and fully recover. I feel bad for the kid

Not sure how the whole leg would go into that angle unless both bones were broken.

From the replays it looks like a dislocation of the knee joint with the concern that there would be damage to multipile ligaments..... but even more worrisome would be the associated nerve and vascular damage that would create more serious long term conseuences.....pray that is not the case and he can continue his remarkable career. Lean on your faith and prayers to you and your family.
