in the lakes....and we certainly didn't have hybrids....by the way, got to the Wando yeasterday with a perfect tide, cloud cover, but on lightning, OR POWER FOR MY TROLLING MOTOR!!! Got to my first spot, dropped the trolling motor in the water, hit the pedal and I immediately knew the batteries had not charged...ON BOARD CHARGER MUST HAVE GONE BAD. Have you ever lost power at a critical moment in the tug?

History lesson. Landlocked stripers were first noticed in the Santee Cooper Lakes when they were impounded. Stripers have to have floating eggs for at least 24 hours so they must run up rivers to spawn. The first hybrids, a cross between a striped bass and a white bass, were successfully completed at the striped bass Hatchery near Moncks Corner by Jack Bayless with SCDNR.
