Old Clemson Football Programs

Yesterday morning, while visiting Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC, I went by the office of Dave Latham (who graduated from P.C. but who pulls for the Tigers) and saw these old Clemson home football game programs (from the 30s) hanging framed.

There is a Clemson vs Presbyterian from September 21, 1935, and a Clemson vs Wake Forest from October 30, 1937. He also has some away game programs. He found them in an Apple barrel in an old barn near Tuxedo, NC.

Because he framed the whole program, he took them out and I was able to look inside. Pretty neat to see President Sikes, Coach Jess Neely, and Coach Frank Howard, when he was still the Offensive Line coach under Neely as well as an aerial shot of the campus.

I will try to attach as many pics as possible. My brother-in-law, Bill Harley, showed them to Sammy Blackman at Clemson Rotary Club yesterday.

I sold Clemson football programs growing uo in the 60's. This Bama one was my favorite. I think it was the year Ford played for Bama.
