I think the difference between the two are the USC game, we ran into a guy so he had no chance to make a catch. The Bama game, they did not run into our player so therefore there was no interference.

I recall them saying it had to touch ground. If you watch the "sounds of the game" those were the exact words out of dabs mouth"we have to have a chance to catch the ball".
He got that from the refs!!

At the time the ref ruled it was because the ball didn't hit the ground

It was like the refs were the 12th man.... You can't beat the other team and the refs...I guess the SEC is the best conference.... when you can get away with those no call and you can get the clock to run after first downs at the end of halts, you can be great too!

we didn't line up and cover the field. Obviously Bama saw this in tapes. They did their job. Plain and simple.

We lost that onside kick because we don't have even peewee league special teams quality. It SHOULD be impossible to just kick it over the defenders and then run under the ball if any of our guys was coached on kickoff coverage AT ALL. I think we just had other priorities in practice this year. Young team, not enough time to learn everything.
