Official Score Prediction Thread Wake vs Clemson

This week the Wake Forest Demon Deacons travel to Death Valley to take on our Clemson Tigers. Wake had shown some signs of being a decent team, but I just don't think their depth and Line Play can hold up for 4 QTs. My prediction Clemson 42- Wake 13
As always the winner may (or may not  ) win a Tiger Net Steak knife set, although every prediction does receive a Thumbs Up. Winner will be posted Monday morning.

Wake leads the nation in tackles for losses and has a patient offense. I think this game is close going into he third but then the Tigers pull away. I would bet on the under also.

Our offense isn't built to run it up on teams with good defenses. Wake's D is currently 15th in S&P+. I'm not sure if this is one of those games where we get out to an early lead and then go into a shell, or it will be more like BC where we come alive late, but I'll be very (happily) surprised if we score 40+ on this Wake team. If that does happen it might be more of a product of them not being able to move the ball at all on us and their D tiring out.

I think this is one of the better teams that Wake Forest has had in a while and they will scratch and claw for a little while. They'll put up a fight and will surprise a lot of teams in 2017. But we shouldn't be one. Our second string could beat them with a good game plan and good execution.
This season Clemson is basically a boa constrictor. They wrap you up and just hold onto you, let you wiggle and squirm and fight long enough to tire yourself out and then you blink and Clemson crushes your hopes and dreams and win by 3-4 TDs.
I expect the same this week. Clemson probably up 7-10ish at the half and pull away to win it 34-13.
