perhaps the OP doesn't know that the redshirt guys are our scout team to help prepare for games during weekly practice. They don't get on the field on Saturday, but they arent watching the 2 deep practice from the bench. They are the practice and work equally as hard without the accolades. So yes, they earned and get rings.

In fact, I think you'd be surprised at how many different people will get a ring.

As an example, the highway patrol officer who travels with the team and escorts Dabo off the field after the games will get a ring.

There are a lot of cogs that make the Clemson machine function.
