OT---ideas for quick 4 nighy trip from Upstate

Lookong at last minute trip ideas from Upstate. Wife and I with two kids. Ages 12 and 10. Prefer some place warm where we can hang by the pool and relax. Willing to fly but somewhat on a budget. 4 or 5 nights total.

Found cheap air on Alligient to Punta Gorda FL area but know nothing about there. Even thought about doind Vegas for 3 nights and do the pools, Hoover ###, etc but did not realize how cold it is this time of year. Seeing highs of 51 next week.

Any thoughts on a quick yet budget friendly trip to warm weather.

Punta Gorda, Fl is about 1hr 45 min. south of Tampa, beautiful weather this time of year

Check out Siesta Key. Its on the FL gulf coast just south of Sarasota. Plenty to do or you can do near nothing and enjoy one of the finest beaches in the world.
