OSU better body of work than Baylor/TCU
Dec 7, 2014, 5:35 AM
|
|
Ohio St beat 7 teams with a winning record this season. TCU just 4, Baylor just 3
Both Baylor and TCU each played a FCS team. Ohio St did not
Ohio St played an extra game against #13 team and #2 defense and whupped Wisconsin 59-0
TCU lost to Baylor, a fact that HAS to drop them below the Bears which creates the opening.
Body of work says Ohio St the deserving team. Not sure the argument there.

to count a good win, there is no way you can discount a BAD loss. i don't care if it was week two, all the games count when you only play 12 during the "regular" season.

They trumped it by beating an overrated Wisconsin

team that also lost its Power 5 OOC game? 59-0 tells me that the B1G is even worse than I thought.
On the Baylor / TCU part - the committee had already spoken on that matter by putting TCU 3 spots higher. Don't see how they magically get jumped by Baylor now, but who knows.

I tell you what. Click your heals together and say take the Va Tech loss away. It might work. That is the problem with OSU you cannot take away the Va Tech loss. The complete body of work get it.

What I'm paying attention to is if they leave FSU out. Imo that would completely discredit the playoff committee. They're already on the verge of being discredited for how low they have FSU ranked. Unreal that a 29-0, 2 year unbeaten streak and only undefeated team in CFB this year could get left out of a playoff.

the committee does take under consideration injuries, ranking, and personnel . OSU is 3rd and 4th string qb's now. Their oc/qb coach Herman did an amazing job.
The vt loss is like a lead anchor.

The B1G was laughably bad this year. Literally lost to every good team they played OOC.

Which is the reason they will get matched up against the sec in the opening round...

does Ohio State have better body of work. The top 3 of the Big 10 (Ohio State,Michigan State,Wisconsin) have no good wins. They only beat sh#### teams in their conference. Loss to Va. Tech seals the deal.
