OK fellas, From Ole Spud. This is a great New Year's Day

Jan 1, 2019, 12:13 PM

side dish, even for those of you who can't cook. Fix this for your wife,Mother, or Coot-n-laws and you will be the hit of the meal.

2 cans lite peaches (sliced)
2 cans lite Pears (Sliced)
1 to 1 1/2 cans (Large cans) sliced pineapple
Maraschino cherries

1 stick real butter
1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder
1 cup lite brown sugar

Empty all fruit cans into a collander to drain(Save cherries for later)

Melt butter on very low heat and add sugar and curry. Mix with whisk until thoroughly blended.

Place fruit in casserole dish and place whole pineapple slices evenly over the top. Place a cherry in the center of each slice(add a few more if you like'em)

Pour warm melted mixture evenly over the top and bake at 350 degrees(uncovered ) for 1 hour.

I hope you like it!

Happy New Year's!!!

Spud

What size casserole dish did you use?

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Large enough to spewadout the fruit

Jan 1, 2019, 12:58 PM

You want the pineapple slices to be laying on the top ...flat and covering the rwst if the fruit to have the best presentstion.
