Now that we're in OPEN season...some questions for the bored

Nov 9, 2020, 9:03 AM

1. Will the original schedule for the most part (other than UGA) get picked up and moved to next year? Will Coot 2021 game be at home?
3. Will ND join the conference...or is the ACC just not enough competition?
4. Will the ACC consider "no divisions" or re-devisioning?
5. When is Swoffie's last day?

That's some varied qweshions right there.

1. I think next years schedule will most likely be what it already was supposed to be.

2. Coot game will probably be in Columbia as originally scheduled.

3. With ND, it is all about the TV money. They will probably go back to being independent.

4. I like the "No Division" deal, but most of the schools probably won't. I would expect us to go back to divisional play next year.

5. I don't know, but Swoffie's last day can't come soon enough for me. Good riddance, and don't let the door hit you in the ar$e on the way out.

All future schedules are built based on the coot home/away sequence so next years game will be in cootlumbia as previously planned. As for the other questions it is anybody’s guess

1. 2021 schedule should not change. Coot 2021 game will be in Columbia.
3. No.
4. No. Because not all ACC teams play each other every year [like in Big 12], they're required to have separate divisions in order to hold a championship game. I wish NCAA or whomever would change this.
5. At the conclusion of the 2021 spring sports season.

My take (for what it's worth)...

Nov 9, 2020, 9:24 AM

1. Barring something unforeseen (like ongoing impacts from COVID), the 2021 schedule will likely remain unchanged

2. See Item No. 1 above. The 2021 rivalry game will be played in Slumbia as scheduled.

3. Notre Dame has no appetite for joining a conference in football.

4. Traditional Division play will resume in 2021

5. If memory serves, Swofford announced that he would be retiring at the end of the 2020-21 athletic year which would be June of 2021.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

My bored seems to have misplaced question #2.

Can anyone help me?

TIA in advance!
