spread out meaningful practice reps between six guys? I don't see how it's possible. There has got to be some attrition this Spring...no way around it since somebody won't be getting any reps.

Another way to look at an abundance of talent on a team is this: For every very good player that you have that’s one less than your competition has! I’d rather have five solid quarterbacks not playing than have one move on to Usuck for example.
That is the reason we have scholarship limitations today.. Years ago, the big schools with big bankrolls would offer scholarships to players just to get them off the market. You had games between teams with a hundred scholarship players playing teams with thirty or forty. Coach Howard used to talk about this a lot. I think Bama was one of those who had big rosters!
