And an NFL game was just played there yesterday. After two games in two days, I hope it isn't chewed up for the natty. Seems like very poor planning.

the National Championship game.

It would be a shame for the outcome of this game to be influenced by inclement weather.

In all fairness its Iowa and Florida playing. Odds are they won't put up 100 yards total offense combined.

They likely will replace the entire field after today's game. Did last year in PHoenix. NCAA has more than enough $$ to do it!

According to CFB Playoff website, the entire surface is being replaced. There was a note that the field/sod has been grown exclusively for the NCG.
