I could be wrong but it looked like Alabama was practicing in jerry world ., during half time
of the oil change bowl ,., they showed Clemson and OU ,. Then Herbie in Dallas then showed
Saban walking around at practice ., but no Michigan State .,

Of course he ended up at Pitt, but he was high on Clemson and he really liked his visit.
In retrospect, Dan might not have been the best fit for our offensive philosophy in the late 70s-early 80s.
We ended up with Homer Jordan and that worked out pretty well for us.

I recall he wanted to play baseball and football and Clemson was high for both sports. He also looked at UCLA, but decided to stick with just football at Pitt.

I still have that O&W with Marino in front of the old theater along with all of the other copies from that first O&W year, 1978-79. We barely missed out on Marino that year and Herschel the next year, but we still won a NC.

I ate at the Fogo in Orlando about 18 months ago. I thought I was going to have to rent a crane to get myself outta there. I can only imagine how much the Beard Gang put away. Good eatin at that place!!
