As much as I disagree with about 90% of what he says, I agree with him about ND not getting an automatic bid with no conference championship game. He's right, while everyone else is playing a conference championship game and risking injuries etc, they get to sit at home. If they aren't gonna join a conference, they they should play a 13 game regular season.

Not to mention they don’t play fcs teams like the rest of us. So yes they play one less game but does our game vs furman really do anything for our strength of schedule?

Maybe they should treat not playing a conf game as a loss against your record. It doesn't help with the injury risk and rest problem but it would help with the issue of a team picking up a loss in a conf game.

Win tonight, they're in. Period. They sit and rest and stay healthy while everyone else risks injuries and plays another game. I don't know why this is hard to follow. Just an opinion anyway.
