Not sure if too many care

May 22, 2012, 4:17 PM

but a move to the Big 12 would this end a few athletic programs down the line such as soccer, rowing and what not else? The only way they maintain soccer is if they kept an ACC schedule which I really doubt they will. Wonder if a girls softball team would be added also since they seem to be big on that.

Any guess on what sports would be added or abolished?

If anything we will now be able to add a few more sports programs with the extra cash. Softball would be awesome.

4 Big 12 schools have rowing teams

Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma and Texas are the four Big 12 members who sponsor women's rowing teams.

Rowing already travels all over for events, just like track and golf. They can schedule anyone they want and the ACC championship determines the champion. Soccer would have to travel and Basketball, but I think most other sports have ways around it. Like Volleyball and tennis plays multiple teams in a single road trip.

Soccer would not be ended.

Soccer is one of Clemson's most successful programs.

Maybe they can bring back wrestling

Clemson had a top 15 program before it got cut in the 90s. I bet Sammie "The Bull" Henson could be convinced to come back and coach.

That'd be the Big 10!***

Honestly, Outside of Football, Baseball, and Basketball I don't really care. Watching female sports is about as interesting as reading the Tax-Code, and if they were all cancelled I'd be a.o.k. with it (won't happen though).

Without those women's sports you won't be able to have "any" sports.

Not arguing... Just wondering

May 22, 2012, 5:00 PM

What are the travel distances to Syracuse, BC, Pitt, Maryland, Miami and others compared to big 12 teams? Overall the ACC is better for travel but I am curious to see differences.
