Not a football related post, but an iphone trick

Jan 4, 2019, 7:07 PM

I learned this along time ago, but never thought to share it. There are probably many other ways that I do not know to do the same thing, but this is a trick from the early DOS days where an editor called EDLIN was used. To make your program go to the next line, you would use the word "NEWLINE".

So the trick is useful when using NOTEPAD on your iphone to make a list of some things. But I could not figure out how to use the microphone and get the list to go to the next line. Instead I had to type it out, hit RETURN and then type the next thing. So using the microphone, you simply say your item, say "NEWLINE", and then say the next item, and repeat until done. I found it amazing that Apple chose that specific old DOS editor term to accomplish this simple task. I could not find it anywhere on the internet, but tried it one day, and have used it a lot. Try it out if you make lists (but not on Tigernet - not allowed).

Good luck.

Here's a trick.

If you hold down ALT and press F4, it will make your browser transparent.
