I mean I am no fan of slow down basketball but it seems to me with a 20 pt and like 8 minutes left THAT is the time to get real methodical, limit possessions, take the shot clock down real low before taking a shot. Top it off with a fanatical defense. Seems like a math thing to me ...

Grantham hasn't made a 3 pter in 2 games and he's 0 for 2

from the 3-pt line with 8 minutes to go.

So what does he do but hoist 2 more 3-pters in the next 5 minutes,

missing both, and the lead dwindles to 7.

Kid just doesn't know where his offense is, and it's a shame.

Great athlete, good ball skills, just doesn't demand that the ball to go in the basket

like real scorers do.

You keep your foot on the gas. You didnt get your 20-pt lead by limiting possessions. you got it by being aggressive and playing good D

I agree with running your offense but there should have been an emphasis on driving the ball inside and at least try to draw fouls since we were in the double bonus quite early. Of course, we had a stretch of missing free throws during that period as well so what do I know. Do think that Grantham should concentrate more on driving the ball inside and forget the 3 for a while.

Of course, it also helps if you hit the good shots.

Not a fan of slowing it down artificially with 8 minutes on the clock.
