Agent suing Zion Williamson alleges new housing, luxury cars for parents while at Duke
Wednesday's court filing also calls for Mike Krzyzewski to testify.


According to the article, before signing with Duke, they lived in a house in SC valued at $153,000 and paid $895 in rent per month. After moving to Durham, lived in a house owned by a Duke alum, valued at $950,000 with rent listed at $4995 a month.

I guess this proves that coach Brownell couldn't have afforded to keep Zion and his family up for very long. $5k a month for rent, payments and insurance on 3 high dollar vehicles would have knocked a big hunk out of Brownell's salary, and that is only getting one player, and that didn't include feeding and clothing for the family and pets. He could most likely get 5 players that could get us to the sweet 16 for 3 years for about $5k a month LOL!!! ;)

Apparently it's not against NCAA rules to give a parent a job or cheap/free housing as long as it's not done by a representative of the school.

Somehow that's different than handing out cash.

Duke and other schools have always done this. It doesn't get much press, but it also doesn't appear to be against the rules.

Much more practical in basketball with a few players than football.
