There's an obvious reason he wasn't a D1 basketball player. Moves in slow motion; big men in the ACC will not be worried. Smells of desperation by CBB.

He's the guy that offers fundamentals and spells Jemison when he gets in foul trouble and Brownell doesn't want to put Baehre at the 5 depending on matchups. If the matchup does call for Baehre at the 5 then Grinde probably won't see the floor often

Here are Grinde’s stats for season. Did hit almost 50 percent of his 3s with 16 for the season. Hit multiple 3s in four or 5 games. That is pretty decent for any 6-10 player at any level. Maybe he can be like Mark Donnell from two seasons ago in a minimal stand point:

Don't care if he is big, slow & clumsy...at least he has a basketball IQ and able to do a decent drop step & up/under move. None of the guys we've had lately could do any of those during a game.

I don't see the big deal. He's tall, he can shoot the ball, and he provides depth. Seems like a pretty low-risk move for our team.
