Watkins, Clemson defense hope to put pressure on the Pack

In his first season with the N.C. State football team, quarterback Ryan Finley hasn’t been perfect, but he's been good enough to lead the Pack to a 4-1 record. Defensive tackle Carlos Watkins says the game plan is to pressure Finley into mistakes. Full Story »

Carlos and the rest of that defense see rest on the horizon with the bye week coming. These gentleman will bury NC State by the early third so they can start their bye week break early.

NC State message boards are quiet and realize their meaty schedule starts this week. (Then Louisville).

Go Tigers!

The good thing about Watkins comments is that they are taking one game at a time! We thought Troy would be a walk in the park and it wasn't! We need to fix that right tackle spot going forward or the other teams best pass rushers for the rest of the season are going to continue to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in our backfield!

The real deal concerning NCST's 4-1 record is that they haven't played a game yet against anybody that would stand a chance against Clemson in Death Valley, and neither does NCST. We won a game against Louisville in DV, and survived 5 turn overs to win the game. If NCST would have played Louisville on any field, they would have been drug up and down the field for a solid hour. Our Tigers would have to completely lay down for NCST to come into DV and get a win. I absolutely agree with not counting your chickens before they hatch, never look ahead, but I feel comfortable in saying today, we "will" 7-0 after Saturday....
