Next man up: Andy Teasdall talks about earning the job at punter

Andy Teasdall came to Clemson with the idea that if athletics didn’t work out he loved the campus and the school enough to be happy as just a student. As it turns out, the athletic part is working out pretty well, too. Full Story »

I totally missed that he had punted a couple of times in the RAB . Sounds like he did very well . Good luck in 2015 Andy !

Clemson Opponents averaged 43.6 yards per punt with a net of 41.2 yards.

Clemson punters averaged 42.4 yards per punt with a net of 39.6.

I remember many times last year the defense holding the opponents inside their 20 only to have the opposing punter flip the field position.

I don't ever remember Pinion flipping field position but do remember his short kicks when the pressure was on

Hopefully, this will be an area of improvement.

I remember Pinion giving few options on KOs

But randomly having some head scratcher punts. L'ville game comes to mind where some were short or out of bounds at weird times. But he has a NFL worthy leg or he wouldn't be leaving early. Not sure Teasdall will have a better leg for distance. Maybe more consistent. We'll see.

There's no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid people who ask questions.

With a 6-6 Pinion, we didn't have to worry much about snaps

over his head....Teasdall at 5-11.....hope we get the snap down to perfection.

Who needs a punter when you have Cole Stoudt? Just throw it deep on 4th down

I met Mr. Teasdall at the Winston-Salem Y on May 5. What a fine young man!I can't imagine a better representative of an athletic program — Clemson can be proud of him!

Incidentally, I have a grandson at Clemson.
