at the accomplishments of the last decade.
Just one statement but hopefully this means he is committed to Clemson for the long run even if the alma meter (Bama) ever comes calling.

If we keep this up, and I think we will, Dabo will have some serious decisions to make about his future. We know they will come calling. I hope he likes us good enough to say no thanks to them. This is his dynasty he's building.

Ummm...Wasn't Georgia Tech ranked around #22 when we lost to them last year?

Georgia Tech finished in the Top 10 after their Orange Bowl win over Mississippi State.

According to the article, we lost to a top 10 program (that was actually ranked 22 when we played).
I appreciate the piece, and there's no bigger Clemson homer than me, but that stat is a little ambiguous. Maybe the writer is just using some SEC logic...

Rankings are arbitrary and subjective to begin with, so just because Georgia Tech was ranked #22 when we lost to them doesn't mean that they weren't a "Top 10" team. Would you have preferred they said 2015 Orange Bowl Champions to satisfy you???

You have to define elite first. We have a top 15 program .

Is that elite? Or would elite maybe be just the top 5?
I'd say the top 5 are: Bama Ohio State Oregon Florida State
There may have to be a 10 team tie for 5th. Who'd I miss? TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma, Clemson, UGA, Auburn, LSU, Michigan State could be the next 8 but all are so close.
I don't see another school as elite as the top 4. There seems to be four great programs and then some separation. So, I guess we have to start beating FSU some if we want to be elite if the definition is to be among the very best with some separation between the next group.

I would trade out Oregon and put LSU just because of the national tittles. Oregon does have a number of BCS bowls and championships tho.

The only teams we've lost to ended up in the top 10

To be elite we have to beat those types of teams. I think we're well on our way to achieving those goals.
