Competition fueling the race for starting spots

The Clemson pitching staff fans see in 2016 will be vastly different than the one that led the Tigers to an NCAA Tournament berth last season. As a result, head coach Monte Lee and new pitching coach Andrew See are watching the competition for starting spots with a watchful eye. Full Story »

Well you know we have had some anorexic hitting for quiet sometime. Hopefully our team will improve a lot under coach Lee's supervision. Under leggett out hitting sucked, and it was from one or two things happening. They were under instruction from Jack to do not swing unless he says so, or all of batters was just blind as H&ll. We have watched many strikes zoom right across the center of the plate, and our batters made no effort at all to attempt a swing at the ball. I think that we had more strikeout calls with perfect pitches to hit than anybody in college baseball. Strike 3 was a regular saying by the home plate umpires in our games. Strike 3 you're out!!!!!;)

I'm excited about the upcoming season and looking forward to seeing the vast improvement of this team from Opening Day. I really expect to see increased focus in these early season and mid-week games!

Good luck and good health to this Tiger baseball team. Play hard and represent Clemson University and yourselves with excellence each & every day! All of the baseball alumni are with you. Go Tigers!
