Can Mark Fields step up in 2016?

No one knows who will start opposite senior Cordrea Tankersley at the other cornerback spot when the Tigers open the season at Auburn in early September, but don’t bet against Mark Fields. Full Story »

Very talented and now that he is focused on being the best he can be, he will take up where Mac left off.

I just worry a little about the comment dabo made about his immaturity. Athletically he will be fine and I trust dabo not to put a punk on the field

I chalk it up to great coaching. Phil used to do it all the time. He is basically calling him out publicly so he knows how important this opportunity is for him, he knows it's out there in the media and the spotlight is going to be on him. Fields seems to have that pit bull attitude that Mack had, I expect him to come out the gates firing.

He'll be fine! Remember we are talking about a sophomore. Time was, back in the day, you didn't even see game time till year three. Yes a lot has passed since then, but for young men, the brain/emotional side of things doesn't always stay up with physical side. (No naming names for example, but think of those who are no longer Tigers, and what got them there)

Sounds like he needed an attitude adjustment

Which is not surprising considering he was once comitted to that trash dump east of us. It takes a different attitude to succeed and be a winner... AKA a Clemson man. I'll be looking for him to make a statement this season.
