Re: New Littlejohn

As long as they don't mess with lot 5 to build it I'm cool with whatever.

I believe a smaller, more compact crowd is the right

way to go. Nothing like a scarcity of supply to ratchet up the interest and build a more die hard crowd.

There was only one real sell out before cheap general admission tickets for the NIT games. I agree with 8,000 to 8,500 to create a demand. It absolutely needs to be under the control of the Athletic Department.

Consistent winning creates demand. We had plenty of sell outs with OP. They should leave the stadium at 10,000 and how it is. If they want to entice recruits, just knock down the trees and build a nice practice facility between Littlejohn and Esso

I don't like the reduction in capacity. We already have one

May 14, 2014, 9:26 AM

of the smaller venues in the ACC and it will only be more so with this proposed reduction. If they are going to build a new arena, maybe make it so that the empty top circle of seats is less pronounced. I don't know...an arena with a capacity of 10,000 is not a giant cavernous arena.

As for the Athletic Department having full control...are you sure that means that there will be no concerts, etc? That would seem like a mistake to me.

null

"filled to capacity?" only for 3 of 19 games

May 14, 2014, 5:41 PM

but really just 2, the last 2 NIT games, as there were some empty seats at the Dook game

IMO a redesign and moving the students along the sideline and one endline are good ideas

a capacity of 8,500 seems about right to me

If it's so new

then it ought to be named something new. The old LJ is just that.
