In all fairness, Fields looked phenomenal in the Nike Opening Finals. It’s plausible to think that his lackluster performance at Georgia was more attributable to his not being “coached-up” rather than the gap in talent between the two. Georgia is a powerhouse when it comes to underutilizing talent. I suspect the best of Fields is yet to come.

All that is true but even watching high school tape of both qbs Trevor is light years ahead of Justin in my opinion.

7 on 7 with no pass rush or tackling, with your coach right next to after every play, is not the same as an actual football game. Also, as with anything, your supporting cast and the defense you face counts. I watched the Opening and felt Fields had a much better supporting cast/play calls. Lawrence still finished 2nd overall.

I don't put much stock in this 7on 7 stuff. I look at games against full speed competition. Not only did Trevor show it in high school but he did on the biggest stage in college.

Pull up the Georgia football records books and see how many times TL16 name appears. You won't find J.Fields name.

Also of note...I do believe the game that DJ Uiagalelei came in to play quarterback was against Ryan Hilinski's team (UofSC commit) and DJ led his team to victory. :)

Justin Fields is overrated and arrogant. I think he's getting a big taste of reality.
